Version and scope

Installation

1. Download the EU Withdrawal Manager 1.8.0 ZIP matching your exact PrestaShop version through the licensed PsDevs download service. Keep its filename, which identifies the module and target PrestaShop versions.
2. Back up the shop and verify the target environment before changing modules.
3. Upload the ZIP with the PrestaShop Module Manager and complete the normal module installation.
4. Confirm that the Back Office module card reports version 1.8.0 before configuration.

Activation and licensing

The perpetual licence covers one production installation and one associated staging installation. Multistore is included within the licensed PrestaShop installation.

Use the licensed PsDevs access supplied with the product to activate and validate the installation. Downloads and perpetual product updates remain tied to that licence.

Configuration

Configuration is scoped by shop in a PrestaShop multistore installation. Review the active shop context before saving operational settings.

Set the closed-record retention period for each shop between 2 and 20 years; the module default is six years. That default is an operational setting, not a universal statutory period.

Review the available customer languages and notification templates before opening the withdrawal function to customers.

Customer withdrawal workflow

1. A registered customer opens the flow from the relevant order; a guest identifies the order with its reference and email address.
2. The customer selects all eligible products and quantities or a partial eligible selection.
3. The customer reviews the withdrawal statement and confirms it explicitly before EUWM creates the request.
4. EUWM stores the selected scope and provides a durable acknowledgement after submission.

Back Office operations

The request list identifies the shop, request type and current state. The eleven-state lifecycle covers submission, return handling, inspection, economic follow-up, cancellation, expiry and closure.

Staff record received, accepted and restockable quantities. EUWM can reintegrate explicitly approved stock and create and link a native PrestaShop OrderSlip.

EUWM does not execute the monetary refund. Complete it with the payment provider or bank, then record the reference, notes and result in the case history.

Notifications and documents

EUWM includes thirteen HTML and text notification families with recorded delivery attempts. Module interface and notification coverage includes German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Portuguese.

Authorized blank and prefilled PDF forms support the workflow. A PDF does not itself submit a withdrawal or process a refund.

Privacy and retention

EUWM provides selected module-data export, conditional anonymization and configurable retention. Eligible terminal records are anonymized after the selected period; holds, open incidents, pending refunds and missing final dates prevent anonymization.

PDFs are generated in memory and streamed, and Back Office CSV exports are streamed instead of retained as module files. Uninstall preserves historical requests and economic evidence while removing active integration and temporary security data.

The merchant remains responsible for lawful use, privacy information, retention decisions and handling data-subject requests in the context of the shop.

Updates and support

Use the licensed update channel and keep a current backup before applying an update. The update path uses private, checksum-verified downloads and a guarded manual update process.

Six months of support cover installation, configuration, use and reproducible EUWM defects. Customization, third-party modules, hosting, server work and general store maintenance are outside that scope; no public response-time SLA is offered.
